BOLLYWOOD BEGINS FILMING "e-PREETI" in DC
Official launch event to meet "Cast and Crew" on December 18th at "The White Tiger"
WHO: Infiniti Entertainment launches "e-Preeti," the first Bollywood movie set exclusively in DC and the first to be directed by a second generation Indian-American! The comedy film will shoot in December, January and February at several locales in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
WHAT: e-Preeti (translation: "e-Love") is a family-friendly bilingual (Kannada/English) romantic comedy. Produced by Manan Singh Katohora, Directed by DC-native Priyabharati Joshi, and starring Diganth Manchale, Nina Mahesh, Tejaswini Prakash and Bharath Kumar, the film addresses the complex inter-cultural issues that arise in relationships between Indian immigrants and Indian Americans who were raised in the US their entire lives by Indian immigrant parents, or who are a product of mixed marriages (so called - ABCDs = American Born Confused Desis).
The film is set against the backdrop of DC's politically charged government contracting community. "e-Preeti" is also unique in that several key members of the cast are Washington natives.
