If you do what you love, and love what you do, ........

A yadacity opinion…re THE GOLDEN GLOBE.
The 2009 nominations were announced and (holler) Lee Daniels film, 'Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire', was among the nominees. Social network blogs were commenting that Lee Daniels and screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher failed to make the cut.

Ok, Lee and Geoffrey will live to fight another day and walk down many-many red carpets.

When you really examine Lee’s work (and his creative background) he places himself in the second seat and gives the actors (and other creative people) such a structure of support, it’s no surprise he would be overlooked, in this category, at this time.

The film also snagged a best supporting actress nomination for Mo'Nique and a best actress nomination for star Gabourey Sidibe, -------you go girl and may yadacity suggest, take a deal in the lush world of television. In this land, the checks are fat and the pickings are many. Can yadacity say: Ugly Betty!

The film “Nine,” is a force of nature. It sizzles on the screen and splashes over everything. Rob Marshall, who directed the musical, should have at least, one, speech memorized for the award season.

An early yadacity prediction, Anthony Mackie (in "The Hurt Locker'") is just mere years away for the winning the ‘Golden Man.' Note, you can’t stop talent but in Hollywood, oh, how they try. Oh, how they try. I think the group Black Eyed Pears uttered it best in 'I Got A Feeling.' The entire song.

Yadacity thinks………..
BEST FEATURE - DRAMA:
Contenders: 'Avatar,' 'The Hurt Locker, 'Inglourious Basterds,' 'Precious,' 'Up in the Air'

Yadacity thinks: 'Precious.” Why, the genius James C. has enough money, it’s making money, and making money, and making money. So much money, that money is on stand by to build another world. Did he and his team not give you a travel preview in the film 'Avatar?” Book travel now!

Golden will go with the underdog (and it’ a great film) plus, at one time, even James had to learn how to walk before he became an 'Avatar.’

BEST FEATURE - COMEDY:
Contenders: ( '500 Days of Summer,' 'The Hangover,' 'It's Complicated, 'Julie & Julia,' & 'Nine.'

Yadacity thinks: In comedy, it will be “The Hangover.” However, “Julie & Jula,” is brilliant, sparkling and delicious. To be fair, the film does, really, take time to enjoy it: Like a great cup of (insert anything you enjoy) that you continue to return to, for the flavor, joy and comfort in the effort.

ACTRESS - DRAMA:
Helen Mirren ---come on. In fact, she does more then just hit her mark, this brilliant artist hits it out of the box, kicks it over the goal boast, runs a touch down and hits the lottery. In a thunderstorm, in the middle of a treeless field yadacity would welcome the opportunity to stand under her umbrella!

ACTOR - COMEDY OR MUSICAL:
It should be Joseph Gordon-Levitt, '500 Days of Summer,’ but he is young and there is so-so-so much more to come.

It will, most likely, be Daniel Day-Lewis for 'Nine'.” He is another actor of such pedigree, you stop in your tracks, and like a curious and confused puppy, cock your head, and ask ----what? Now, that is good.

ACTRESS - COMEDY OR MUSICAL:
If Meryl Streep does not win for 'Julie & Julia,’ yadacity strongly supports a food war! All restaurants should should down in protest and Mario B. (the crazy Italian in colored rubber shoes) should lead the protest.

No worries….she has that locked down like a boned duck.

DIRECTOR - MOTION PICTURE:
Yadacity says, it should be given to both Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron Why: They both have balls of such determination, world’s shatter when they walk into and out of creative meetings. Did you not feel the small trembling and wonder---an earthquake ---Bigelow or Cameron?

SUPPORTING ACTOR: No opinion either way. It’s like asking what great piece of aged cheese do you prefer with a good wine, aged olive oil and a local wine –so good—they refuse to sell outside of their hamlet.

In contention: Matt Damon, 'Invictus'; Woody Harrelson, 'The Messenger'; Christopher Plummer, 'The Last Station'; Stanley Tucci, 'The Lovely Bones'; Christopher Waltz, 'Inglourious Basterds'

SUPPORTING ACTRESS: This one is hard. Yadacity thinks all the ladies should get together, 48 hours, before the event, and throw the best cocktail and dinner party with a cuisine of international comfort food.

After savoring the best bites, each gifted woman read their acceptance speech!

RUNNING: Penelope Cruz, 'Nine'; Vera Farmiga, 'Up in the Air'; Anna Kendrick, 'Up in the Air'; Mo'Nique, 'Precious'; Julianne Moore, 'A Single Man'

SCREENPLAY - MOTION PICTURE: Neill Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, 'District 9'; Mark Boal, 'The Hurt Locker'; Nancy Meyers, 'It's Complicated'; Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner, 'Up in the Air'; Quentin Tarantino, 'Inglourious Basterds'

Yadacity is going with a win for Boal’s “The Hurt Locker.”

Happy Holidays to our dearest. Happy Holiday to our all.

TIGER SAYS "4!"

LEAVE TIGER ALONE

There are always two (2) sides to every story. Come on, even GOD has an enemy!

What is intriguing is how the media is handling the story. There is a collective (in my opinion) violent impulse to pull down a successful person. Again, I step up to the plate and state the obvious. He is a man of color. A man of many colors and somewhere, in this twisted world, they (the proverbial ‘they’) don’t feel comfortable.

Tiger…you know the real truth. You know it when you look into the soft eyes of your children. When their arms wrap around your neck and they say. “daddy or father”…. or just rest their little heads upon your chest.

That is love. Cling to it. Now, better yet, use your best swing and tell the vultures, at the door, to duck: 4!

We wait for you to come back.

Grizzwald Chapman needs help!

Yadacity fans listen up. A fellow human being needs some help! Come on now…this is not a joke.

Grizzwald Chapman, known to most as Tracy Morgan's intelligent and kind hearted sidekick in Tina Fey’s (award-winning sitcom) '30 Rock,' is in dire need of a kidney transplant. Like yesterday. The actor revealed this need during a taping of 'The Dr. Oz Show.'

Chapman, a young man -- 35 years old –explained that he suffers from severe hypertension, thus requiring him to receive dialysis three times a week.

Tracy plays a “moron,” on ’30 Rock.” The actor, Mr. Morgan is a bright-bright-bright man. His ‘boys,’ on the show have been with him for years. Can you (yadacity) say “loyal?”

HOLIDAY SPIRIT FUNNY

I know, you blinked. We all blinked. It was a collective and stolen moment in time. A New (new?) year is mere days away and the promises that we/you/I/us, made ---compounded by the expectations we/you/I/us--- struggled to complete are now up for review.

Good news. We won. We did it! Don’t review.

We/you/I/Us stepped up to the plate and we tried 365 days.

Here is a loving suggestion, from yadacity for 2010, don’t make lists. Smile. Kiss your loved ones (often) even if they have feathers, whiskers or scales (careful on the scales).

While you are loving and being love here are a few suggestions for great film rentals. Music and art is yadacity forthcoming.

IT IS A WONDERFUL LIFE does not need a number. It is the # one film for holidays, gosh, for anytime. Below are a few yadacity suggestions.

1. MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET.
2. BELLA (well done boys)
3. WHEN HARRY MET SALLY
4. JULIE & JULIA
5. BREAKFEAST AT TIFFANYS
For the artistic kids in your life…

GEORGE C is a crazy man in UP IN THE AIR!!!

UP IN THE AIR
Oh George, as in Clooney---a true Tarsus--- has hit it well and (smile and laugh) hard with UP IN THE AIR, from the director of the ‘snaky’ film JUNO.

According to the L.A. Times, the film (which is only in limited theaters in U.S. and Canada) earned 1.2 million in only 15 venues.

Here are five reasons you should spend your hard earned $10 bucks to watch UP IN THE AIR. Look below ----

1. George does not waste his time on “junk.” He has a villa in Italy; he does not need to work. Yet he does! Ummm, yadacityummmm, ummm????
2. He is a funny, funny, funny soul. Now, what is humor? Humor is good for the body! Serious, it is a major + to the internal organs. Therefore, to some degree, George is a physician.
3. George is one of the good ones on this third ‘rock from the sun,’ and he knows that when he works, others work –they live to fight another day. i.e. cameraman, Sovonto!

4. George has no issue with sexual identity. The lesbian, gay, bi and trans family loves you –gift cards would be forthcoming and would be welcome—wink, wink and wink!

5. Tarsus souls understand loyalty. Yadacity tips our hats to you! George is pure yadacity!

VIDEO PHONE is so sexy, Gay Men might re-think everything

Beyonce and Lady Gaga (yadacity tagged Lady, early when London called) have collaborated for 'Video Phone.''

Flash-flash, warning this music video is s e x y. How sexy? Gay men will be re-thinking their choices!

This is just a friendly observation, the video is lush and the director and the team are A+.

However, Beyonce---you cannot top ‘All the Single Ladies Video,’ because, mama-you are now competing against yourself and that is one hard opponent.

Relax, you are already legend and the very best is yet to come.

You are allowed to breathe; it’s necessary for life.

After all, in the end, we are all one breathe.

The Problem Solvers is one of the best episodes on NBC's hit comedy "30 Rock." If you missed it on Thursday, you can view on NBC.com or hulu. It is off the charts good.

This episode was written by Ron Weiner and directed by John Riggi.

'THE PRISONER has Jim and Sir. Ian--Help!!!

Jim Caviezel

'THE PRISONER,” the highly anticipated miniseries (from AMC) wanted great actors instead of good props! And AMC got it!!!

This six-hour, three-night event----just go get your popcorn and turn off your jawbone---is an interesting saga of a fellow who one day wakes up in a strange place with no memory of how he got there.

Stop, view the trailer and then read!

Ok – yadacity asks: who mixed those drinks?!?!????!

Flash forward, this guy is now assigned a number — Six — instead of a name—( a rose by any other would still smell as sweet) ---, and is told that nowhere else exists,

Opps, somewhat got permission!

Flashback, circa 1967 -- when the original British television community received the universal green light. Flash-forward: The series tinkered in issues of cold alienation and lack of identity and timely countercultural themes. It turned out to be a beloved cult classic that still thrills hordes of fans today.

Ian McKellen is a true artist. Watch and listen. Children watch and listen.
Jim Caviezel (Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ") is running to hard to catch up to the talent of McKellen but he will win that race too, by a nose from Helen M.

WANDA SYKES knows how to throw a Party!

THE WANDA SYKES SHOW.

Yo, wake up. It’s SYKES time and she is up and running fast and funny on FOX.

Like Sykes, the show is innovative and irreverent.

The Saturday late-night series, features Sykes' point-of-view on the events of the week and is punctuated by field pieces and produced comedy segments. Sykes and her writers weigh in on everything: translation, no one is safe and laughter is everywhere.

So get your favorite bottle and snuggle in for an IN YOUR FACE FUNNY Saturday night, Sykes style.

Now y'all know, most “folks of any color” do not have Nielsen boxes so our votes don’t count (ummmmhummm) but to show your support for THE WANDA SYKES SHOW –hit the net and hit it hard to show FOX how much we need WANDA.

Chris, whatever dude?

If a picture is worth a "thousand words," then Chris "come out, come out wherever you are? ? ?"

Note, Ms. Chris (opps) Mr. Chris only very sad-sad-sad souls hit each other and call it love. You do not hit the one you “love.”

Today, on ABC’s THE VIEW, it was strongly suggested that you get a second “chance” to change your “very bad habits.”

I agree with Joy, no comment.

CHRIS come out of the ....

Chris Brown is getting a smack down?

Coming up this week on ABC’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA (and followed by 20/20) is an exclusive
interview with “the umbrella” – Rhianna.

You know the story (which is getting soooo olddddddd) her “romance” with the tender, soft and tiny, manicured hands of Chris Brown (ohhh-stop yawning) ended in a lawsuit, blah-blah-blah!

Ok …yadacity will play along but it feels like a very well arranged public relations-marketing-branding campaign. To this, I tip my hat to the team.

FYI: People, these days, are not that “naïve,” (anymore) they/we/you--- just play along! That does not mean that they/we/you---buy (purchase, given the paper, etc.) the product!

IN JOY WE TRUST ON BABIES!

ABC’s THE VIEW is always, well, a view.

THE VIEW on ABC
On the subject of birth and abortion, i In Joy we trust!!!!! You know what, most people watch “the View,’ and laugh (inside and out) at the lovely blonde mother of three.

We—the hard working people, on this third-rock-from-the-sun— laugh with you?

In truth, Elizabeth is laughing all the way to the bank…that is a good chuckle!

Goggle ABC's the view and then watch the great film VERA DRAKE.

Notes from Filmmaker Sam B. about Movies

Yadacity welcomes filmmaker Sam B. see below.....

Filmmaker SAM B reporting from Film Columbia, where my film, THE MANDALA MAKER screened on Friday, October 23, at 6 p.m. at the Morris Memorial Center in Chatham, New York and received tons of love from the diverse crowd on hand that night.

As many of you know we recently qualified MANDALA for the 2010 Academy Awards and we have won no fewer than three film festivals - to date - and will be playing in some large festivals in early 2010! However, Film Columbia was littered with many award-winning films, and much Academy fare. Two of my favorites were the very fun 'THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS' starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor, and THE WHITE RIBBON which won the prestigious Palm d'Or at Cannes this past year.

However, one film that EVERYONE was talking about was the moving closing-night film, PRESCIOUS, Produced and Directed by Lee Daniels (MONSTER'S BALL, SHADOWBOXER). The film was a hard-edged piece of drama, to say the least, and what an amazing performance turned in by Gaboury "Gabby," Sidibe in the title role. She really made you feel for this girl, and there is one moment where she has a teary-eyed close-up and speaks of the love she wishes to give to someone. A heart-wrenching glimpse of cinema.

PRESCIOUS, by the way, won both the Audience Award and Jury Prizes at Sundance this year. Humbled me to think of THE MANDALA MAKER, the little film that could, sharing space with this amazing double-winner from Sundance.

One of the people I got to meet was Geoffrey Fletcher, the screenwriter for PRESCIOUS, a very talented and soft-spoken man. A huge shout-out to Fletcher, who did a remarkable job on the adaptation of the novel PUSH, by Sapphire, for which the film is based. He has a great chance to win an Oscar for BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY at the 2010 Oscars. It is my dream that myself and Gregory Nissen will be there to join him as the winners of the BEST LIVE-ACTION SHORT that night.

Hey, this is Hollywood, and you know what they say - everybody's got a dream ... what's your yadacity dream?

Gabourey Sidibe might have "The C Word..."

The sizzle for Gabourey Sidibe, young star of the drama --"Precious," directed by Lee Daniels from Sapphires’ original novel PUSH, is that Showtime is in talks to add the young actress to the comedy pilot for "The C Word."
The new comedy stars Laura Linney as a suburban wife, mother and a teacher forced to face a diagnosis of cancer but finds a lighter side of a very dark situation.
Sidibe would play a student in her summer-school class. The role could be a recurring one for the newcomer, whose breakthrough performance in "Precious" is creating some Oscar buzz.
The film, in which Sidibe plays a pregnant teen who overcomes insurmountable odds, opens next Friday via Lionsgate.

THE MAID is from Chile...we love it!

Yada city is calling THE MAID by director SEBASTIAN SILVA. Check out the work of Catalina Saavedra---this is a gift of a film and one of the "buzzed about" at the Gotham Independent Film Awards.

From Chile, Silva reaches deep to find the emotion of the story and in the end, it leaves you a bit "off track."

No spoilers here just check it out.

Bai Ling and Magic

Bai Ling, the interesting beauty has a new love, by her slender side.

It’s Quiji (the Chinese word for magic) and is half domestic cat, half cheetah, as reported by PeoplePets.com.

This is no cheap hybrid --- it cost her ex-boyfriend, around $30,000. Now that’s a good ex-anything!

Ling an animal lover from the start believes that: "In my previous life, I was a cheetah or leopard or some sort of really wild and dangerous animal in nature."

A long time ago, growing up in Miami, I took home a starving big black kitten. It was full Panther cub….the older Quiji gets, the “wilder” she will become. It’s not their fault –there are made for condo living…

Japan does not love indie films?

Japan's indie film industry reeling

TOKYO - Kaoru Ikeya, check out his documentary on China's Cultural Revolution, Daughter from Yan'an. Set for release in November.

Quote ----Kaoru Ikeya: "I had spent close to five years on the documentary and had to take an enormous gamble," said Ikeya of the film that focuses on the woman's search for her birth parents, former Red Guards who had abandoned her on the day she was born.

"Japan just does not nurture small filmmakers like most other countries do," said Ikeda, who heads Ren Universe Inc, a production company.

Yadacity word up, it’s no secret that Japan's independent film industry is at a crossroads.

Young Japanese directors face a difficult situation, facing a lack of capital in an investor environment that shuns risk-taking.

This, in turn, leads to a film market that is increasing relying on proven sequels, remakes, or films based on popular manga cartoons and television dramas.

Money-money-money: the economic recession has contributed to the gloomy picture. Directors are finding it almost impossible to secure loans because banks are saddled with debt and lack experience in film financing.

"The heyday of Japanese movies is gone," lamented Seiya Araki, head of the Japan Filmmakers Association, a conglomeration of independent filmmakers. "Gone are the days of big names such as [Akira] Kurosawa, who won international recognition as artistic directors in the '60s. Today, the [Japanese film industry] is bogged down with bland, predictable productions that play second fiddle to Hollywood."

Indeed, the Japanese film industry used to churn out more than 65 percent of annual film releases, but this has now dwindled to 30 percent.

WE ARE ALL ONE BREATH and yadacity is still breathing!

MEDIA KISSES MARIAH'S ASS

What is with the media’s high standards of Mariah… if mimi doesn’t make it to #1 each and every time, everyone is quick to dismiss her and say “oh oh Mariah has fallen from grace” …
Yadacity says “child, please! So much attention isn’t made to others (we won’t name names) who don’t even make a dent on the top ten chart…

So anyways media (a.k.a the haters)
HERE’S WHY MARIAH DOESN’T NEED TO PROVE A DAMN THING TO Y’ALL!
• The biggest selling female artist of all time
• Sold over 175 million albums worldwide
• 18 number one singles (the only one that beats that is the freaking BEATLES) wow!
• 11 platinum (that’s over 1 million sold for those that don’t know) selling singles
• First female artist to have a single debut at #1
• WRITES or Co-writes all her songs! do the other divas or even the newer artists write their songs?
• Has a classic Christmas song! “all I want for Christmas is you”
• Been in the scene for 20 years
• First pop singer to incorporate hip hop remix (O.D.B.)
• Won numerous awards… too many to mention
• And etc. etc.

With all of these accomplishments...
Miss Mariah really really doesn’t need to prove herself to the haters!

LYM Mariah!
Shake them haters off!

Custom Shoes, see Vogue and walk like a Star

VOGUE

Ahhh Vogue your pages inspire, from the utter ridiculous to the sublime possibility.

The November issue, now on newsstands, is lush and stylish in a unique way—very yadacity!

Our staff feels like the character, ‘Justin,’ in ABC’s hit comedy “Ugly Betty,” very giggly and ready for an adventure!

Let’s turn the page, where does an artistic soul search first?

Try the TOP TEN, written by Florence Kane and photographed by Norman Jean Roy (pages 248), and just drink in Esquivel Shoes with the incredible, and unique Janelle Monae. Note—note yadacity talked about Ms. Janelle so long ago—more on that later. Custom shoes…did you hear your feet sigh and sway in love?

Then flip back to page 216 --- DREAMING THE LANDSCAPE, where journalist, Dodie Kazanjian poses the question, to a group of very yadacity fab artists, to turn their creative heads-hands to a neglected genre.

Snapping history, on the aformentioned article, is the ooooh-sooooo blessed, Annie Leibovitz. The photo diva, along with her hard-hard-hard working assistants, continues to take our breath away.

Annie, you are legend-click, click!
Dodie, you have an eye ….

Meredith Vieira weights in on the ballon, stunt?

Meredith Vieira (The Today Show) knows how to balance a difficult interview and, in yadacity’s opinion, she is just getting better and better.

Case in point, the interview with the Heene family.

There are, at least, two sides to every story and we believe that it was a publicity stunt.

Side one: Reality television shows pay very well and you fight for those you love. Side two: for some, the attention given while making the television show(s) makeS them feel like “celebrities.” Yes, people are very-very well paid for being able to walk and talk.

15 minutes of fame has stretched, thanks Andy Warhol.

Yadacity thanks Meredith Vieira for being a class act!

CAN YOU FIGHT LIKE PRECIOUS?

Lee Daniels has the ability to find the heart of the matter not just as a director and producer but also, in yadacity’s opinion, as an artist. His new project, the film “PRECIOUS,” (which is BASED ON THE NOVEL 'PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE) has many communities excited.

Come on the journey: This is Harlem 1987. It is the story of Claireece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey Sidibe), a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a difficult life with limited opportunities.

Pregnant, for the second time in her teens, Precious is under the foot of her angry mother (Mo'Nique), who abuses her emotionally and physically.

No place to turn even school is a place of absolute chaos.

Precious, in the ninth grade can neither read nor write. Sometimes down, but never out, she goes through the paces of her life. Watching and secretly dreaming for a glimmer of hope………

Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the opportunity to transfer to an alternative school----Each One/Teach One.

In the literacy workshop, taught by the patient yet firm Ms. Rain (Paula Patton), she begins a journey that will lead her to freedom.

The film has received many awards ---yadacity high five---but the young people that will understand and get energy from the journey could not care less ABOUT accolades.

If you really care about someone, please, we strongly suggest, you take a few kids/friends to this film. Believe---dreams come true especially if you have the strength to keep dreaming them.

You do whatever you want but yadacity says “never give up,” and yadacity has spoken!

I GO NAPPY AND WITH PRIDE

Chris Rock is an intelligent man. Stop laughing, he is! He asks questions most people don’t have the courage to think about and then he goes after the answers.

Check the flick out, GOOD HAIR it will not disappoint you. In fact, if the studio is smart ------they will have this project ready for a holiday DVD release because that is good, family viewing. I see the DVD-BlueRay in every Holiday gift bag.

As for this yadacity staffer, I have gone natural and it feels BEYOND good…”free at last, free at last, thank GOD’o’mighty—free at last.”

Mariah in Sin City

Watch this video in a new window Fly Like a Bird - Mariah Carey (live at Las Vegas)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0VnnvEfyFg
On Friday, October 10th, I was “creatively kidnapped,” by our team, from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, to attend the Mariah Carey concert at the Palms Hotel & Casino.

I went kicking and screaming, until they gave me a sandwich. I was forced to listen to Mariah tunes during, the three+ hour trip, while they all sang along. Side note: It was a good sandwich.

At some point in the journey, I began to sing along too!
Making great time, we hit the Vegas strip, checked into The Imperial Palace and dressed up to hit the strip.

Once at The Palm, we ran into one of M.C.’s bodyguards, a burly man with a classic smile—brute force and kindness—fabulous.

Mariah’s fans enthusiasm and loyalty are legend and there are many postings, which detail how cool they are.

Hold your yadacity soxs—I think its true, true, true. The fan group on Friday was warm, funny, and generous.

I received “high fives,” “hugs” and “butt bums”—think the ‘70’s dance craze!

Fast Forward…
The party in the audience suddenly stopped. The house lights twinkled and…. then…. there was a hush; a lush-hush, filled with anticipation—then Mariah appeared.

The fans went wild, the sound of (the) applause was “almost,” deafening and I was right there with them. Side note: I did not know I could clap that loud. My legs pushed me up without me ordering them to do so.

Kudos to the director of the show…big kiss to the choreographer—brilliant choice of dancers and the lighting pattern—delicate like a buttery fly— made me almost cry.

The flow of the show, in my humble opinion, not only demonstrated her God given ability but her sense of humor.

When Mariah began to sing the final song (I will not spoil which one) my legs moved, again without notice, and I left my seat because I did not want to cry and ruin the moment.

On my way up the stairs and out of the venue, a lovely man hugged me, kissed me on the cheek and winked.

Now, I understand why I have become a fan.

In yadacity’s opinion, what makes Mariah Carey legend
is that she can touch you, pierce inside, where most of us hide.

She is an Artist: Yadacity has spoken.

THE HATRED

Shooting in Philly now, the indie film "The Hatred', written by the famously twisted Tony Slade, and Directed by Simi of Van.
Supported by a BRILLIANT cast:

The horror film stars Tony Slade, Krishna Tailor. Jose Rosete, Erica Saben, Jennifer Gramatchas
Joale Norris and Nikiya Palombi.

The heavy moneymen, EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS, are Manan Singh Katohora and A. Bhagnakar.

'The Hatred' is about six stunning models that are forced to face their own demons. Yadacity certainly hopes one of the models is forced to eat…..oh the horror of carbs.

Kanye West needs some real love!

Kanye West this is yadacity talking to you, heart-to-heart., The death of a parent—the one that loved you no matter what—is hard.

Add to that situation, you have complicated legal obligations that are on your shoulders. Yadacity firmly believes you can handle it brother, you can!

K, it is important to grieve. To allow yourself personal time to do so. I did not do it and I am dog peddling for my SURVIAL.

Therapy----yadacity strongly suggests it. It does not have to be in a small room somewhere in Chicago, New York City or Los Angeles, you get the picture.

Try a trip with 4 people that really know you and still care about you. …maybe Greece, or a small town in Italy or a tiny town in France.

Bundle up and don’t be afraid to cry—in fact—be afraid if you cannot cry, brother.

Yadacity has spoken and it’s from the heart!

Yadacity wants to recommend the best and in comedy, ABC is moving fast.

Our team is calling three shows, this year, as ratings hits!

MODERN FAMILY is going to get even better. Hint; make sure there is good food in the writers’ room. Sofia V is one of the funniest women on the planet, a yadacity suggestion…use her more often.

*idea – she baby-sits the gay couple’s new child “Lilly.”

COUGAR TOWN is like a fine wine –it will take time and be worth it in the end. Funny!
Courtney Cox Arquette makes you smile and you almost –almost forget that she is a “friend.”

The new season for UGLY BETTY is coming up. You cannot go wrong with UB.

The Church of Scientology--two sides--listen and learn

The chatter on line is that John Travolta is leaving the The Church of Scientology. In court, Mr T admits that his son, the late Jett Travolta (GOD BLESS the dead) was autistic.

According to those in the know the The Church of Scientology does not admit to autism.

A sprite soul of just 55, the media reports have him abandoning Scientology with glee-joy-gay happiness.

“Don’t Shoot the Messenger.”

Yadacity likes to keep it fair. There are, at least, two sides to a story.

Against:
Tory Christman, an outspoken Scientology critic, who left after more than 30 years in the organization, issued a quote (on The Daily Beast)
Saying:

"My hope for him is that he starts looking at what really happened,” she stated. "He'll reach the right decision... I just don't want him to be used by the church. It's horrible he lost his son but change something. He's a guy who could really make a difference."

On the flip side: there are two yadacity-sides to every story.
Tommy Davis, the spokesperson for Scientology weighs in. The statement (in part) is below.

Tommy Davis, who is a spokesman for Scientology, had a firm stand against Christman’s (a former Scientologist) view.

He is reported to have stated: "This religion is utterly and completely about helping. It's just insane to think that Scientology would be a factor in somebody not getting all the help they need," stated Davis.”

THE MANDALA MAKER needs a Gold Man

It's official now - THE MANDALA MAKER has its Academy-Award Qualifying screenings this Monday Sept. 28th through Wednesday Sept. 30th. THE MANDALA MAKER (34 minutes) will be shown in a block with other shorts each day at 3:30 and 6 p.m at ...the LAEMMLE GRAND 4-PLEX on 345 S. Figueroa in Los Angeles, 90071 - so ALL MY L.A. PEEPS and there are a lot of you - please get out and see it one day.

The film has honestly affected people in deep emotional ways, and I can only hope everyone reading this will feel the same if they make it to the theater ....

Again, THE MANDALA MAKER starring Courtney Hogan, Tony-Winner Terrence Mann, Daniel Roebuck of LOST, and Yangzom Brauen at the LAEMMLE GRAND 4-PLEX on 345 S. Figueroa in Los Angeles, 90071 this Monday-thru-Wednesday each day at 3:30 and 6 p.m.MAKER ...

Now for the Q&A:

Q:
Your film is burning up the film festival circuit---did you grease any
palms or is it just a good movie?

A: I won't even dignify that with a response - how much did you say again, was it $50 or $100?

Q:
What is your next project?
A:
There's been some talk of me directing several films for scripts that I did not write - one is a wonderful family film currently titled THE ULTIMATE PARTY, though the title would likely change, and another is a horror film called, SANCTUARY. I like both scripts very much, and both seem to have their money in place, so we'll see. I am also in the process of setting up several original projects, including a big-budget action franchise I wrote and created - and will direct - called NIGEL READ. Short of that, I have been mulling re-making either KING KONG or PSYCHO. No, wait a minute, that's been done already hasn't it?

Q:
What actor to you have on your dream list?

A:
That's actually a rather serious question for yadacity - do we know each other that well? Are we both at that comfortable stage yet? Ok - since I despise uncomfortable silences, I will jump in: I grew up as young child idolizing John Travolta. He was mostly Italian (and also Irish) and I am mostly Italian (and a quarter Polish - nice combo, right?). He came from the streets of New Jersey and I came from the streets of Staten Island, and I have really related with him. I've also felt he is one of the most talented - and resilient - actors of his time. The chance to work with him - he has also overcame several personal tragedies in his life, as well as reinventing his career more times than you can imagine - would be amazing. There are several other actors that are on my list including the British actor, Matthew Goode and Will Smith, obviously a huge A-list actor, as well, but his talent is well deserving of A-list status. He should have won an Oscar for THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS. In that film, he didn't act, but he literally became Chris Gardner. Anyone who has had money-problems totally felt like Will spent at least a weekend with them after seeing that film - . Lastly, but not leastly, I have had the pleasure to twice work with (on the independent feature REX and the aforementioned short THE MANDALA MAKER) a wonderful independent actress named Robin Phipps. She played one of the female leads, "Dee," in REX and was the inspiration behind the Naomi character in MANDALA. Even after an injury forced her out of action for the lead in the latter, I brought her on as an Associate Producer (her first producing credit) and she sang two songs, including the original title song, and she knows how very proud of her I am. Sometimes life takes you down strange paths, but I will say that when Robin and I are clicking, we have a synergy that is unmatched. Over the course of the two films we formed a strong bond that no matter how much it bends, truly cannot be broken.

Q:
Give Yadacity a Halloween Shout Out, please?

A:
HUGE Halloween shout-out to all Yadacity readers, and if you get the chance, go see CREATURE FEATURE: 50 YEARS OF THE GILL-MAN in some re-released theaters around that time. Now, who was that written and produced by again? What is that guy's name? He is a genius ....

MARVEL all the way to the Bank

Yadacity says watch out kids ---Marvel's "Ghost" is going to Ride Again
and Again and Again
The yadacity-fab Marvel universe is going to be mega busy for the next few trillion years. Columbia Pictures is the latest studio to rev up a Marvel project on the heels of Disney's pact to acquire Marvel Entertainment in a $4 billion deal. $4billion is a lot of money, the key owners of the rights will, again, find New Relatives and kids that they never had going on you tube asking for cash!

Col ‘business affairs is waiting for signatures on the David Goyer deal, yes, the talks are early but they need him to create the story and supervise writers. Mr. Nicolas Cage is set to star, fun. Note, former Marvel topper Avi Arad, Michael De Luca and Steven Paul are producing, with Gary Foster as exec producer. Ummm, yadacity can smell the money!
