Q:The New Afro -- how can I keep it sharp?

AN; ooo with a fresh afro keep it picked out with some sort of shine that has sicolicone in it so u have a nice polish. i'm attaching a photo of my publicist's Makeda's afro...I used Curl Free Instant Moisturizer on her - and she needed it bad - her 'Fro was really dry due to color.

Q: A bunch of my friends are going to a wedding, in India and want to keep their hair "slick and straight," any tricks?

A: Slick back in a pony tail? ooo my 2 favs r Murry’s Palmade if u want a slick pony or a super slick ponytail because u have course hair .. And Bumble and Bumble Paste if you just need a light hold .

Q: Statement: When I go to Rome, the water is so hard on a "sisters' hair" that I have to wear a scarf. Any ideas on how to keep the hair straight or how to go "natural with grace?"

A: one thing that works is twist or braid YOUR hair then add oils and moisturizer. When it dry’s let it loose and you will have a nice crinkle to it

Q: How many times, in a week, should you wash your hair?

A: it really depends on if u have dry hair or oily hair ??and how u rock your hair..

Rosetta Stone

Yadacity recently got a chance to try out the popular language learning program Rosetta Stone. Here’s our brief review on Rosetta Stone’s Spanish for Latin America.

The program is quite user friendly and teaches the user with their trademark Dynamic Immersion™ method which pairs words spoken by native speakers with vivid, real-life imagery to recreate the natural way you learned your first language.

When you first start using it, it seems a bit easy (maybe because basic Spanish words are so ingrained in our culture now, that it doesn’t seem foreign anymore) but once you get started it starts to get more challenging. The start of the program uses pictures and spoken words with text, you then select the picture that goes with the words. SEEMS EASY ENOUGH… Which is exactly the point of Rosetta Stone, they want you to learn it the way you learned your first language when you were a baby – by repeated pattern recognition.

As you advance in the program they integrate writing, grammar and pronunciation as well as advancing words into phrases then full sentences and concludes each unit with an interactive “milestone” chapter where the user was given a chance to have a conversation using the words and phrases taught in the chapter which soon became one of my favorite features.
Overall I found that the program was designed well kept me engaged. It gave me a good grasp on the language but as with most language learning programs the only real way to utilize and improve on the skills that you learn is to immerse yourself into the culture that you are attempting to learn.

BUSY is the only word that can describe Florence Anthony. The host of the daily radio feature "Gossip To Go With Flo" syndicated by Jones Radio Network, "Flo," is also the President/Editor-In-Chief of Black Elegance Magazine, which boasts a national circulation of 200,000 and writes a weekly column called "Go With the Flo" in the New York Amsterdam News, Philadelphia Sunday Sun, BRE and Dallas Examiner. Flo's daily radio feature is in 30 markets which include The Big DM, WJLB Detroit, K-104 Dallas, WAMO Pittsburgh, KMEZ New Orleans and V101.9 Charlotte.

A graduate of Howard University, with post-graduate studies at the University of Michigan and Northwestern University, Flo was the first African-American woman to work in the sports and entertainment departments at the New York Post, and the first African-American woman in the nation to work on a gossip page: the Post's highly revered Page Six. When she left the New York Post, she became the first African-American woman to write a column for a tabloid. She headed up the Eye on the Stars column in the National Examiner from 1994-2001.

London calling - LONDON MOURNING

Britain is mourning the tragic death of Actress Natasha Richardson. Born into the Redgrave Acting Dynasty, Natasha was best known for her roles in the remake of 'The Parent Trap' with Lindsay Lohan, 'Maid in Manhattan' with Jennifer Lopez and for winning a Tony on Broadway in Cabaret.

Natasha was on holiday with her two sons in Quebec and after an accident during a skiing lesson was admitted into hospital after not feeling well. She suffered from a brain haemorrhage.

Wife of acclaimed Irish Actor Liam Neeson, Natasha worked tirelessly for the AIDS charity amFAR and had two teenage sons. Ms Richardson passed away in hospital after her family decided to take her off life support. She was only 45.

Marvel @ this, according to media sources, last October, Terrence Howard (who is one brilliant artist, in our yadacity opinion) said “no-no-no,” @ the opportunity to reprise his role as 'Tony Stark' in the sequel, to the BLOCKBUSTER, movie “Iron Man." The beef (so sources report) was over cash.

Fast forward: Samuel Jackson has signed with Marvel Entertainment to do a multi-film deal as ‘Nick Fury’ of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Sam remembers what it was like to be on the 1 train, in New York City, @ 3:00AM and getting off @ 145 & Broadway (West Side). This is a man that understands the value of hard work!

Gossip around Hollywood is that Howard chose short-term gain over the opportunity for long-term security.


There are families living on the street. Good people with nothing. It is important to remember that, in an instant, everything can change.

On the record and off the record. Ok, record everything. The staff @ yadacity does not believe that Chris Brown would be that “stupid,” and we are referring to his “alleged beating" of his main squeeze the STUNNING and GIFTED Rihanna.

Smells like a p.r. stunt to this team. However, I’ll let Chris and Rihana's team “tell that story.”

So the New news is that Brown is not going to attend the 'Kids' Choice Awards' due to his felony charges. A yadacity “ok,”

The Nickelodeon buzz, online, is major and not good for Brown’s image or “is it?”

The publicity surrounding the star has encouraged more women to be tested for cervical cancer but unfortunately Jade ignored the early signs and it is believed she now only has weeks to live.

Everyone in the UK is talking about Jade Goody. The reality TV star became famous on England's hit show 'Big Brother' back in 2003 and her rags to riches story inspired many.

Known for her cheeky sense of humour, Jade has done it all from an autobiography to a perfume.

Sadly, Jade has been diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer. Jade was told she had the disease live on air as she took part in the Indian version of big brother in 2008.

Her choice to document her journey with cancer has generated both public support and scorn but Mrs Tweed, (she recently married her long time love, model Jack Tweed) has claimed she must do all she can to raise money for her two young sons while she is still alive.

The publicity surrounding the star has encouraged more women to be tested for cervical cancer but unfortunately Jade ignored the early signs and it is believed she now only has weeks to live.
