PARENTHOOD might be too good?!?

Yadacity recommendation(s).
Searching for something fun to watch? Everything that is old is new again with hulu.

Here are some yadacity points:

NEW and WORTH A VISIT
NBC's PARENTHOOD

This new series suffers from a disease, in Hollywood, that is usually fatal. The symptoms are consistent. It’s well written. Beautifully cast. It’s pacing, editing and visuals motitavate you to watch. Now, here is the worse system of them all, it’s well written.
Special shot out to production designer Steve Jordan and costume designer Laura Goldsmith.

Dear Parenthood, you are in our yadacity prayers.

model.live tells it the way it is, glamour and pain

Yadacity recommendation(s).
Searching for something fun to watch? Everything that is old is new again with hulu.

Here are some yadacity points:

MODEL.LIVE
Model.live is executive produced by I.M.G. entertainment Tom Florio and Russell Quy. It’s directed by Danel Schwacher with the director of photography being handled by Theo Stanley.

Are you ready? I hope so. This reality series follows the real developing modeling careers (under the expert tutelage of IMG) of Cato (19 from The Neverlands), Madeline (20, from Australia) and Austria (15 from The Dominican Republic).

You know the old saying, beauty hurts. Wow but at least they suffer in Prada and fly to London, Paris and Milan on any given day!

CALLUM BLUE is so cute, DEAD LIKE ME

OUT OF SILENCE

Los Angeles on March 8, 2010

At the Museum of Tolerance (MOT) another section of giving HOLLYWOOD sponsored OUT OF SILENCE: readings from the Afghan Women’s Writing Project.

Please note, it was to celebrate International Women’s Day, which in our humble yadacity opinion is really every day.

As a friend reminded me, one finger can break but five fingers form a fist. The fist to help get these women’s stories out was sponsored by AFTRA, PGA, SCREEN ACTORS GUILD, STEAKHOUSE PRODUCTIONS, WOMEN IN FILM (international committee), WGAW and of course THE MOT.

A yadacity shout out to the event producers Deborah Calla, Steak House, Juli Vizza with special recogition Ellen Huang, Ray Bradford and Ruby Lopez.

The evening was conceived and directed by Frederick Ponzlov and executive produced by Jeff Lyons and Jim Steers.

The brilliant souls reading the words of the brilliant souls were Summer Bishil, Nadia Bjorlin, Conchata Ferrell, Jodi Log, Nichelle Nichols, Teal Sherer, Bahar Soomekh, Marcia Wallace.

Ms. Jennifer Beals did not attend because of “very last minute” conflicts.” Taking her place was Nancy Travis, a member of the National Board Member of SAG and a member of AFTRA.

The readings were powerful, awkward, funny, and inspiring.

In the car, my pal asked me what I got from the evening. She wanted to know which story had the most impact.

I choose the story about the father who is still, the teacher.

Sandra Bullock, we send our love!

Dear Sandra,

We hope the tabloids are wrong. If they are not – sister-our-sister you have your prayers. Some people forgot or others may not remember or care to recall what it feels like to have their heart “broken,” but we do.

If you only knew the state I am in while typing on these keys, the words would have more meaning. Go silent. Go still. There are two hugs that can bring you back from the edge; to bring you home. Most know the first but you will be surprised on the second.

Ayse Tezel, a.k.a. LONDON CALLING

LONDON CALLING

Actress Ayse Tezel, a.k.a. LONDON CALLING is a bright, new find that works around the globe. Her last film was shot, in Spain and she has broken hearts from the U.S., to Mexico. From London to Australia. From Rome to Paris.
Ok, she did not “break hearts,” she just spread her wings and jumped.

When London calls, please answer.

David Oyelowo is a Yadacity tip

YADACITY IS CALLING ACTOR David Oyelowo

Award winning director Lee Daniels with five films under his belt and counting
is well on his way to becoming legend.

Yadacity note, he's the first African American to be nominated for a Director's Guild Award. He is the second to receive an Academy Award nomination for directing.

His new project SELMA, according to The Hollywood Reporter, has found the perfect actor to play Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.. It’s actor David Oyelowo from the U.K.

Also on board is Hugh Jackman playing a racist sheriff

As much as we know, the film revolves around the historic marches staged by King in 1965 in Selma, Alabama. The part of Alabama Governor George Wallace remains up for grabs.

Oyelowo, who was last seen opposite Jill Scott in HBO's series 'The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency,' was also in the TV version of 'A Raisin in the Sun' with Sean Combs and Sanaa Lathan.

This brother is on a role; you can see his dazzle playing Muddy Waters in 'Who Do You Love?' and stars in George Lucas' 'Red Tails' with Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr.

FALLING MODEL is NOT FUNNY

Alexandra Falls Twice on 'America's Next Top Model' (VIDEO)

On ABC’s THE VIEW today, the brilliant Barbara Walters summed up what the yadacity staff feels, strongly. It is not funny when someone falls. Alexandra of 'America's Next Top Model' (Wed., 8PM ET on The CW) got up and got hit again. There is no humor in that. Alexandra showed courage. Alexandra showed yadacity courage.

To view goggle it anywhere in the world. Anywhere…..

Crazy Like a Foxx with Gabourey Sidibe

FOXX on SIDIBE side.

How can anyone deny the genius that is Jamie Foxx? Who yadacity asks, who would dare?

Today, on Foxx's Sirius XM radio show The Foxxhole, the Academy Award™ winner came to the comedic rescue of award-winning actress, Gabourey Sidibe.

Her foe is radio personality Howard Stern. On his menu, he warned that she should seek help immediately—due to her weight--- before she encounters future fatal health issues. The actress' mother, Alice Tan Ridley, told him to "get a life."

Yadacity note: “Our name is ‘Bess,’ and we ain’t in this mess.”

Not to lose a p.r. opportunity -- Acai Supply -- has approached the 26-year-old to provide her with a year's worth of their weight loss product.

Check out the audio clip on you tube. Foxx's Sirius XM radio show 'The Foxxhole.' "Where Gabby does Biggie Smalls with Precious..."

Top of the Morning to you all. May you have the luck of the Irish with you all day, let the blues fade away and kiss a good Irish lad or girl or both. Just follow the yadacity rainbow to your pot of gold.

Yadacity mantra for today

”and so I failed a million times, a million lessons I have learned, just a million more to go before I arrive, in triumph, on the other side.”

MOVIE TRAILERS ON THE YADACITY RADAR

JUST WRIGHT - FOX SEARCHLIGHT – May 14th

JUST WRIGHT is directed by Sanaa Hamri ('Something New') and written by Michael Elliot ('Brown Sugar') and will be released under the Fox Searchlight banner

JUST WRIGHT stars the wonderful (bow-down-to the Queen) Queen Latifah and Common.

The (believe in yourself and fight until the end) story centers around Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah ) a brilliant but straight-shooting physical therapist who gets the gig of a lifetime working with NBA All-Star Scott McKnight (played by Common).

Life is going fine until Leslie finds herself finding the inner “good guy” in Scott.

Set against the exciting world of championship basketball, the game of real love vs gold diggers who are justafter bling-bling, big mansions, fast cars, “reality series” and “book deals.”

Check out the trailer … a picture is worth a thousand words. goggle youtube

Debra Martin Chase, Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere produce the comedy, which will prove a perfect fit for men and women and a must own/download. Fox Searchlight will release the film on May 14.

ROBIN HOOD - UNIVERSAL PICTURES

ROBIN HOOD is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Russell Crowe. The talented bad boys (and yadacity means that with love) reunite for their fifth big-screen outing, a retelling of the Robin Hood legend featuring the Gladiator star in the titular role.

yadacity loves these lines, from the trailer, “….are you ready to be who you are?” Honey what strong woman, lesbian, man, gay man and trans isn’t. Come on Robin—in the hood! We will ride with you.

The second great line: “Rise and rise again until lambs become lions.” You think brothers, you think!

You have our yadacity vote!

LONDON CALLING, PICK UP, IT'S ABOUT LADY GAGA, again

“London calling……” Actress Down Under

As she touched down in Auckland city, the hype over Lady Gaga was at fever pitch. Her Beyonce collaboration 'Telephone' had just débuted worldwide reminiscent of Michael & Janet's 'Scream' back in 1994. Yadacity has been following the progress of the lady back in 2006 when she featured on 'The Hills' and to see her live in concert was a whole new level of fabulosity.

In the flesh, Lady G is curvaceous yet toned, adorned in tattoos & her translucent skin and extraordinary talent evokes a regal quality. Gaga sang her little lungs out live in exquisite costumes and danced herself breathless in a spectacular cabaret... the crowd hanging on her every word. Her set was like a hypereal AO fairytale pop-up book come to life.

The constant mention of her gratitude for her fan's support & the fact that she invited Semi Precious Weapons as her supporting act when in fact she herself had supported them years before (when she was a nobody) proved her integrity as an artist & also her loyalty as a person. Her Monsters Ball concept comes at a time where the world is ready to embrace and accept originality and obscurity, thus making Gaga an instant icon and indeed the new Princess of Pop.

TOMMY KOCH is FUNNY MAN

FUNNY MAN, that is Tommy Koch!

Bio: Tommy Koch (last name pronounced COOK)

Born and raised in Waterloo, Ia.
Attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a BA in History.

"I moved to Los Angeles because I had so many college loans that I knew I wouldn't be taking a vacation for a long time. So I wanted to live somewhere that would feel like a year round vacation.

So, I settled into a little, and I mean tiny, converted garage a mile from the beach. Luckily, it came "furnished". The vacation began!"

"The first jobs I had in L.A. were printing T-shirts, Children's shoe's salesmen, Basketball Coach, Teacher, Kept Man... oh wait, that never happened."

Then the Gods intervened. I got fired. My dreams came true when I was asked to do some extra work that showed me anyone can get paid in Hollyhood. So my quest began. I am a writer, actor, comedian... Lover, Brother, Action Hero, and of course, just an all around good guy.

This will be my second performance at the Comedy Store in the Belly room.
The location: 8433 Sunset Boulevard West Hollywood, CA 90069.

The Big Fix and the Handsome Darryl Stephens

Yadacity today ……

In West Hollywood @ the Big Fix, the best coffee shop in all of Los Angeles, one of our staff members ran into Darryl Stephens of NOAH’S ARC fame.

The Big Fix is a place for writers, to write. The food is excellent, the company entertaining without being over the top in that Hollywood “blah-blah” style and the owner is a transplant, from New York, who appreciates the value of silence and great java.

Yadacity loves THE BIG FIX. You don’t need a big wallet to be happy on Sunset Blvd.

www.thebigfix.com

A yadacity suggestion:
Buy or Rent NOAH’S ARC: Jumping the Broom, The film is based on the widely popular Logo series about the lives and loves of four, gay African-American men in Los Angeles.

Cozy in with popcorn or vodka martins and follow the lives of: Noah, Alex, Ricky, and Chance as they travel to Martha's Vineyard for the marriage of screenwriter Noah (Darryl Stephens) and his partner, Wade (Jensen Atwood),
