Bollywood & The Swiss Alps

Bollywood & The Swiss Alps

Switzerland is asking the world's most prolific film industry to play a role in the revival of its 23 billion franc, or $18.5 billion, tourism trade by shooting movies in identifiably Swiss locations to lure Indian visitors.
Why: the expanding Indian middle class has cash and they want to travel!
Cyril Jost, head of Film Location Switzerland states: "We want producers to do more than just shoot three song scenes in Switzerland. If producers shoot trains, alpine villages and towns in Switzerland, that will encourage Indian tourists to come to the country."

To attract Indian producers, Switzerland's film promotion agency is offering Indian filmmakers free scouting trips to remote mountaintops and lesser-known locations.

You know the Swiss -- if they want into Bollywood, why should any producer drag their "not in the know, stuck in 1976!"

The global film market is here! Wake up and enjoy a curry followed by the best taco in your life.

I use as an example, again, the question: who is helping to re-structure DreamWorks? Which major telephone company? Goggle it!
