Oscar time!

The Gold "Man-Queen" is 82 years old and just like the rest of us, is finding the need to change and to change quickly.

Yadacity is speaking ……“Avatar,” is going to take home most of the little gold men. Let’s face it; James C. has been given permission.

However, there are others that have been given permission as well.

So, here we go…….

BEST PICTURE
“AVATAR” but “THE HURT LOCKER” should have got that nod.

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
Jeremy Renner “The Hurt Locker” and keep your eyes open for Mr. R –brother is here to stay and to rock and yada roll!

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Stanley T – take it brother and throw the best dinner party for all of your friends. Yummmy! He has yadacity skills!

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE
Wow, this is hard. Helen Mirren was born to do what she does. This is a fact. Don’t yadacity hate.

However, it will be Sandra.

A quick word of Meryl in “Julie & Julia,” she is beyond brilliant.

Here is a yadacity thought –Helen and Meryl in a film---hopefully written by a Brit.

Wait, we might be wrong on this one. Too close and all brilliant.

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Ahhh (insert a yadacity snarky face) it will be Maggie G.

ANIMATED
“UP,” and go on with your bad self –Peter Docter.

ART DIRECTION
“AVATAR,” and rock on Rick, Robert and Kim

CINEMATOGRAPHY
We are banging our heads on this because every one of them should win.

Why? Yadacity will tell you. We have no fear.

Mauro for having the strength of owning his art and understanding others. Barry for having the strength to show heartbreak and truth—a messy business. Robert for having the strength to bring humor into a spectrum, of so many small colors, it makes you weak at the knees. Christian, I did not see “The White Ribbon,” which bothers our team and we will take care of this over the week.

COSTUME DESIGN
“Nine” will take it. Walk on Colleen.

DIRECTING
James will take it for “Avatar,” but Kathryn and Lee should do a fun cooking battle for the little Gold man.

All on this list walk against the win and we are all lucky for it!

WRITING (Adapted Screenplay)
“Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” by Geoffrey Fletcher.

WRITING (Original)
“The Hurt Locker,” by Mark Boal.
