YADACITY HOLLYWOOD BUZZ
HOLLYWOOD YADACITY BUZZ
GENRE BENDING INDIE COMEDY HORROR!
On the horizon Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk are starring in “Tucker and Dale vs. Evil,” a genre-bending indie horror comedy being directed by Eli Craig. You know this film is going to be funny especially if it’s awful
20TH CENTURY FOX
Holllywood is buzzing that Francis Lawrence may be reuniting with his “I Am Legend” star Will Smith for a fantastical drama titled “The City That Sailed” at Twentieth Century Fox.
The exceptional director is actively developing the project, which is being produced by Smith’s Overbrook banner, with an eye to direct.
Written by Andrew Niccol, the story follows a New York City street magician whose daughter, because of family circumstances, lives in England. In exploring a lighthouse one day, the girl discovers a room with magic candles and wishes to be reunited with her father, causing the island of Manhattan to break away and drift across the Pond. Sounds interesting but why can’t New Jersey drift away? Just a yadacity suggestion.
BLUE PEOPLE RULE
The big gal and boys made the right decision to hire Raja Gosnell to direct Sony’s live action/animated “Smurfs.”
Yadacity power to the blue people!
According to Sony the film will be released in 3-D and 2-D formats on Dec. 17, 2010.
Yadacity suggestion: Can the Smurfs get an offical stamp from the U.S. government for a limited run?
“Smurfs” will be produced by Jordan Kerner (”Charlotte’s Web”). The logline’s being kept under tight wraps with the script written by J. David Stem and David N. Weiss (the second and third “Shrek” pics) and Audrey Wells (”George of the Jungle”).
For all those reading this that are not “Hollywood” savvy “under tight wraps” means they are still working on it! It’s going to be good no matter what. How can you go wrong with blue people!
