That means screwed over, like a major hurt: a MADOFF hurt.

MADOFF is wearing a “bullet proof vest” to court. Come on, nothing is going to save that man. He took money from “questionable sources” around the world and he did not pay them back. The best thing to happen to him is a quick exit: they won’t make it quick Mr. Madoff. First, they will make you watch HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS over and over and over and over and over again until you jump!
