Wake Up Hollywood: Infiniti Entertainment launches "e-Preeti," the first Bollywood movie set exclusively in DC: that’s the house of the first bi-racial President, as of 1.20/’09!
The film will be directed by a second generation Indian-American & DC-native Shilpa Priyabharati Jagadish. The comedy is produced by Manan Singh Katohora.
e-Preeti (translation: "e-Love"), a family-friendly bilingual (Kannada/English) comedy stars, Diganth Manchale, Nina Mahesh, Tejaswini Prakash and Bharath Kumar.
At the heart of the film, it examines the complex inter-cultural issues that arise in relationships between Indian immigrants and Indian Americans who were raised in the US their entire lives by Indian immigrant parents, or who are a product of mixed marriages (so called - ABCDs = American Born Confused Desis).
The film is set against the backdrop of DC's politically charged government contracting community. "e-Preeti" is also unique in that several key members of the cast are Washington natives.
